Bangalore, February 21:According to a survey conducted by a matrimonial portal, 73.33% Indian women said that they wouldn’t wear their spectacles when they meet their potential partner for the first time as they believe that it will ruin their marriage prospects.

On the other hand, 92% men said that they would wear spectacles during their first meeting. This indicates that in the age of women empowerment, women themselves are giving in to the stereotype of being liked or accepted on the basis of their appearance.

When women respondents were asked about what they noticed in men they met for the first time. 65.56% women gave a thumbs down to ‘Bad Breath’followed by ‘Body Odour’ (16.32% women) and ‘Color of the Teeth’ (12.45% women). This suggests that hygiene is the number one criterion for Single Indian women.

While women consider Bad Breath as the biggest turn-off, 63.33% Indian men gave a thumbs down to ‘Women who talk too much’ as their biggest turn-off. This was closely followed by ‘Body Odour’ (13.5%) and ‘Color of the Teeth’ (13.2%). This suggests that men prefer women of few words.
