ENARADA, Mysore, July 27,2014

In the wake of spurt in crimes against women in different parts of the country, more than 300 Karatekas took part in an awareness rally in the city today to highlight the menace.

The rally, organised by Mysore Karate Association, was launched by the Karnataka State Women’s Commission Chairperson Majula Manasa in front of the Palace.

Speaking on the occasion, she strongly condemned the increasing crimes against women, particularly in schools and colleges. “It’s time to protect ourselves against such crimes. The need of the hour is to learn karate which would help girls in particular”, she said.
