Bangalore, March 13:

Air India has taken the lead in introducing a 60-day advance purchase fare (Apex) scheme, aimed at the leisure and holiday market. The initiative, launched just before the start of the summer holidays, will benefit travelers planning their trip in advance.

The new advance purchase fare tickets are now available for sale on various routes operated by Air India for travel commencing 60 days and beyond. The fares are attractively positioned closely with AC train fares. For instance, the all-inclusive 60-day advance purchase fare on the Delhi–Mumbai sector is Rs 3,981 while on the Delhi–Lucknow route it is as low as Rs 2,566.

Air India believes that the new initiative will spur growth in air travel and invigorate the market by encouraging holiday season travel.

The apex tickets are available for sale through all travel agents, on-line travel agents, Air India Website and booking offices for travel commencing around the middle of May.
