Hubli, February 20: Baba Ramdev announced that he is going to start a political party to counter price rise and corruption. He was addressing a press conference at the residence of a prominent businessman Vijaya Sankeshwar in Hubli today.
Baba Ramdev criticised the UPA Government for escalating the price of commodities and came down heavily on Sonia Gandhi for indulging in SCAMS by her Congress Party rather than working for the issues of ‘Aam Admi’. “When there is power in their (Sonia Gandhi and Congress) hands , they are busy making money through scams but ignoring the plights of common people. They are misusing the power .” he said.
Even Rahul Gandhi did not miss the criticism by Ramdev. “While Rahul Gandhi cannot decide about his marriage and other issues relating to his own life how can we expect him to decide for the future of our country ?” he said.
When asked why he being a Saint entering politics, he replied that to cleanse the society some times a Sadhu has to get into action to defeat the anti-people establishment . “ However there is no law which prevents a ‘Brahmachari’ to start a political party” he said.
