A soft toy is playing mother to a baby baboon at the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, Mysuru.
The zoo has two female and male baboons. With few minutes of its birth on April 4, this baby baboon (in picture) was rejected by its mother and refused to feed him.
Immediately springing into action, the zoo authorities decided to personally rear it for another two months. According to the zoo veterinarians, they decided to gift a toy to baby baboon and the baby is playing with the toy thinking that it is his mother.
Currently, the baby baboon is so attached to the toy that it often hugs it and wants to spend a lot of time with it.
The staff members are also taking all the possible care for the baboon and feeding it once in two hours. A couple of months ago, another female baboon had rejected its young one initially and later accepted it.
