Yesterday, Enarada.com had published a story, ‘Play Ground Stinks, RSS Shakha Shrinks’, and today at 6pm, we went again to see the condition of the Ground, which had become not usable for over a fortnight.
It is unbelievable!
Rajajinagar MLA, S.Suresh Kumar, Sriramamandira Ward Corporator, Jayarathna and Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) officials have done a remarkable job. They have managed to clean the ground within 24 hours. We expected something will happen but never anticipated that issue will be addressed so effectively and so soon.
Corporator Jayarathna spoke to us this morning and said she was rushing towards the Ground. “I was aware about this problem for quiet some time and had even instructed BBMP officials. But due to my work pressure, I could not follow up and issue has become serious,” she said.
Ultimately the man behind the clean up act is Rajajinagar MLA S.Sureshkumar. It is learnt that he summoned senior officials of BBMP and given a strong message to clear the ground with filth and waste materials.
However, BBMP has to come up with a long-lasting solution to save the Play Ground, forever.
If this is the speed BBMP and elected representatives can address an issue, city hails them.
