Bangalore, April 2, 2013:
Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has ended the year 2012-13 with Rs. 6,010 crore turnover.
BEL registered a record turnover of Rs. 6,010 crores (provisional) for the last fiscal with a growth of 5 per cent over the turnover of Rs.5,704 crores during 2011-12. It achieved exports of US $35 million.
With a healthy order book of around Rs. 25,000 crores, the Company is all set to continue its good run in the next financial year.
The Company unveiled during 2012-13 as many as 10 new products in the areas of Radar & Fire Control, Sonars, Electronic Warfare, Communication, Tank Electronics and Electro Optics.
Some of the significant orders executed during the year include Akash Weapon System, Radar and Fire Control Systems, National Command Control Communication & Intelligence (NC3I), National Population Register (NPR) and Passive Night Vision Devices.
