Accusing Siddarmaiah led Congress Government in Karnataka as ‘inefficient’ in handling the issue of clicking the picture of a Young lady by a top police officer, BJP today demanded for the resignation of Home Minister K.J.George.

The delegation led by Jagadish Shettar, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, met Governor Hans Raj Bhardwaj and submitted a memorandum to direct the Chief Minister to remove Home Minister from his Cabinet.

“The State is witnessing a very disturbing and shameful incident of the top police echelon having a public spat over the last four days. The CM and Home Minister have remained mute spectators to this bizarre drama.

An ADGP rank official Ravindranath is charged with clicking the picture of young lady at a coffee shop on 27th May.  The woman files a complaint with the police and what followed after that is a shameful and disgraceful development in the history of Karnataka Police”, memorandum read.
