Former minister and BJP MLC V Somanna has kicked up a storm after his picture were spotted along with a Christian missionary poster.
For the last few days, Somanna’s photo figured in Jesus Lives Ministries poster. The Jesus lives Ministries programme-pray for India 2017 is to be held on August 14 and 15. Somanna was seen along with another former BJP MP HT Sangliana (who has now quit the party).
Ever since Somanna’s picture figured, the hardcore BJP loyalists have been trolling Somanna on social media. One of the loyalists Hariprasad K.R. posted a picture saying-“It looks like that we need pray for Karnataka BJP first! I am surprised to see the BJP leader in the missionary’s poster and wonder why he is part of this missionary which is meant for conversion of Hindus.”
The BJP workers are also wondering if it is a deliberate attempt by Somanna who is still said to be pondering over his role in the BJP.
There have been rumours in the recent past that Somanna may quit the saffron party and re-join the Congress.
Somanna who had lost elections in Govindarajanagar constituency last time is said to be eyeing the Hanur Assembly constituency in Chamarajanagar district (which has a sizeable number of Lingayat voters).
However, Congress is also trying hard to woo Somanna to field him from Rajajinagar. So, with Somanna’s name figuring the missionary’s poster, now one need to see if this is a deliberate attempt by Somanna indicating his exit or an inadvertent mistake?
