ENARADA, Bangalore, January, 24, 2014:

In a novel way to register their protest against controversial  statement made by Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyer , Tea vendors distributed Tea free of cost, today.

BJP city unit which organised the event alleged that Congress is looking down on people engaged in petty business.

Tea vendors from Chamarajpet, Cubbonpet, and Yeshwanthpur,  assembled in front of Mahatma Gandhi Statue on the busy Race course Road, near Anandrao Circle and started preparing Tea on their mobile carts. Within no time their stock got over as general public started consuming tea.

By insulting vendors, Congress has proved that it is against crores of poor  people who are living honesty by indulging themselves in small business, said BJP City unit president Subbanna. He further added that  a person from any background can attain highest position and Congress is worried about the growth of Narendra Modi.

It can be recalled that Congress leader Manishankar Iyer had criticised BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi by referring Modi as Tea Boy.  “I promise you in 21st century Narendra Modi will never become the Prime Minister of the country. …But if he wants to distribute tea here, we will find a place for him,” Aiyar said at the venue of the AICC meeting held on January 17 in Delhi.
