The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his cabinet colleagues escaped unhurt today when their helicopter caught fire, according to press release by Information department.
Siddaramaiah, K.J.George,Home Mnister, Dr.H.C.Mahadevappa, PWD minister and M.Ramaiah, CM’s joint secretary had seated in the Helicopter at HAL airport in Bengaluru this morning to go to Mysuru, and all of them jumped out of helicopter soon after noticing the minor fire mishap at the silencer.
The helicopter EC 135 belonged to Delhi based Prabhat Aviation. According to Information Department, the helicopter developed a technical snag just before take off and silencer caught fire.
CM and others took rest for some time in the VVIP lounge in the HAL airport and reached Mysuru safely by road.
