ENARADA, Davangere, February 18, 2014:

BJP’s prime minister Candidate and Cheif Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi came down heavily on congress today. He was speaking in the ‘Bharata Gellisi’ (Make India win) public rally at Davangere, 270 km from Bangalore.

When congress was enjoying power from Gram panchayat to Central Government, Late Rajiv Gandhi had said only 15 paise will reach beneficiaries out of Re1 sanctioned by central Government. This was the testimony for Corruption during congress rule.

“Congress and corruption are two side of the same coin. To save our country from corruption, we have to remove Congress from power” Modi said. He also cautioned that while throwing congress out of power care has to be taken to remove the seeds of Congress completely otherwise congress will spread again like virus.

Congress promised to bring down the price of commodities in their manifesto but due to lack of vision and corruption they failed to deliver. “Forget about bringing down the price, Let congress do a favour to the country by maintaining the same prices which was prevailing during the rule of BJP Government led by Vajpayee” Modi said.

He blamed anti-industry policy of congress for closing down of textile industries in Davangere  which was known as ‘Textile Manchester’ once.
