The 8th edition of Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad conferred the Ideal Speaker Award for this year on Shri D H Shankaramurthy, the Chairman of the Legislative Council of Karnataka at an event held in Pune recently.
D.H. Shankaramurthy is a senior leader of the BJP Karnataka Cadre and is currently serving as the Chairman of the Karnataka State Legislative Council. Previously, he has also served as the Cabinet Minister for Higher Education and Headed the State Planning Board in the Karnataka Government.
Organisers selected D.H. Shankaramurthy for the coveted award after going through credientials of all the speakers in the country. Shankaramurthy received the award infront ten thousand audience in a glittering event.
Speaking about the award, Rahul Karad, Founder Convenor of Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad (BCS) said, “Mr. Shankaramurthy is a renowned name in Indian politics. He is hailed across party lines for his honesty, integrity, intellect and is one of the most respected leaders in the Karnataka.”
Addressing the programme, Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said, “Now government think to implement school accreditation system on the basis of college accreditation. If any school does not perform well, that school won’t give accreditation and it will be closed. It will surely help to increase quality of education system in India.”
