Passengers from Bangalore can conveniently fly to Birmingham via Delhi as Air India is set to introduce a flight from Delhi to Birmingham on four days a week from August 1.
The new flight introduced by Air India will operate with the state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Air India offers attractive inaugural fares between Bangalore and Birmingham.
Passengers from Bangalore can leave by the morning flight AI 804 at 0615 hrs to reach Delhi at 0850 hrs to connect the new flight AI 113 which leaves Delhi at 1330 hrs to reach the UK city of Birmingham at 1800 hrs (Local time) the same day.
Air India has made arrangements for through check in of baggage from Bangalore to Birmingham and issuance of boarding cards for both the sectors at Bangalore airport itself. They will be received at the transfer desk by AI officials at Delhi airport and facilitated to board the international flight.
Similarly on the return direction, passengers from Birmingham to Bangalore can leave Birmingham by the new flight AI 114 on the same four days at a convenient time of 2130 hrs (Local time) to reach Delhi at 1005 hrs the next day to connect AI 502 leaving Delhi on all the days except Tuesdays at 1310 hrs to reach Bangalore at 1545 hrs.
This new arrangement will be a boon to Bangalore passengers as they avoid transiting through London Heathrow for reaching Birmingham.
Also Air India’s flight to Birmingham will not only fulfill the needs of the ethnic community to fly to India direct but also help to develop better tourism and trade relations in general.
This will be the fourth Air India flight to UK from India. Air India at present operates 21 flights to London per week, seven on the Mumbai-London-sector, and 14 on the Delhi-London sector.
