Two wheeler users getting a rose, sweet box and a helmet as part of Gandihigiri campaign

ENARADA, Mysore, September 5, 2013:

The two wheeler users generally wear helmets out of fear of getting caught by police rather than protecting themselves.

To change the mindset, P K Charitable Trust, today, organised a different campaign in a true ‘Gandhigiri’ style at Government Sanskrit College circle.

Two wheeler riders who were not wearing a helmet were caught as usual but not imposed fine, but given a red rose, delicious Mysorepak and a helmet instead!

Inaugurating the scheme, DCP MM Mahadevaiah urged the two wheeler riders to wear helmet as a precautionary measure to save themselves rather than cursing the compulsory helmet rule.
