ENARADA, Mysore, November 11, 2013:

Karnataka medical education minister Dr. Sharanaprakash  Rudrappa  Patil today said that the government is planning to establish four super specialty government hospitals in the state.

Addressing a press meet, minister said that the new initiative will provide better and quality treatments to the poor patients in Mysore, Gulbarga, Hubli and other tier 2 city.

“I have already discussed this matter with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and explained the need for establishing 250 bedded super specialty Government hospitals for poor patients” Sharanaprakash said.

The proposed new six medical colleges in Chamarajangara, koppal, Gulbarga, Gadag , Madakeri and South Canara in the state will create another 900 additional medical seats add to existing 1200 seats. This would help the poor meritorious students an opportunity for medical education, he said.
