Bangalore, February 14 ; On the occasion of the Birth Centenary Celebations of late B.D.Jatti, Former Vice-president of India, the present Vice-president of India M. Hamid Ansari released ‘Vachana’ Volumes in 10 languages , today in Bangalore.
Speaking on the occasion Ansari said that Teachings of Social reformer Basavanna in the 12th century is relevant to 21st century too. “ I am happy to release multilingual Translation of vachana sahitya compiled by Basavanna on the occasion of B.D.Jatti Centenary Celebrations” Ansari said.
Governor Hansraj Bhardwaj , who graced the function compared the Vachana Sahitya to honey. “ I feel that Vachana Sahitya is that literature which has cream of knowledge collected from various sources like puranas and vedas just like the Honey which is collected from various flowers” Bharadwaj said.
