As the country was immersed in the patriotic fervour on the occasion of the 70th Independence Day programme, the Bengaluru chapter of ‘Art of Giving’ decided to organise a special I-day programme.

The Art of Giving volunteers in Bengaluru surprised the underprivileged kids with goodies and educational tools that will give them freedom to study!

The volunteers went around Bengaluru, spotted the kids and pampered them with gifts on Monday. The kids were overwhelmed with the gesture and said that they were motivated to get back to schools.

Mamata N Swamy, an Art of Giving volunteer said, “I-Days are celebrated in a big way across the country but look at these poor kids as no one really cares for them. So, for a change, we decided to make the I-day memorable by gifting them with the goodies. Looking at the enthusiasm of these kids, we felt, it was true tribute to the nation. We will progress only if we empower the downtrodden class.”
