The Janata Dal (Secular) is all set to embrace social media to reach out to the people. Former Chief Minister H.D.Kumaraswamy, who was recently elected as the JD (S) state president for another term said that the party leaders were finalising their media strategies and have decided to utilise the social media to the fullest.

Speaking exclusively to eNarada.com, HDK said with the penetration of smart phones even in rural areas, the social media is used by a wide range of people. So, the party doesn’t want to lag behind in this aspect and wants to utilise the social media as Karnataka will be going to Assembly polls in 2018.

In fact, social media is increasingly more important for politicians around the world. Any party or political organisation who is not paying attention to social media is condemned to disappear. Parties are very aware of this, and are spending more resources and focus on building their digital and social media profiles.
