KIIT University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mayo Clinic, USA on 15th January 2015.
A nonprofit organization, Mayo Clinic is a global leader in medical care, research and education and has been recognized as the best hospital in US. It has more than 3300 physicians, researchers and scientists.
This is the first time Mayo Clinic has signed MoU with any Indian university.
As per the MoU, Mayo clinic has agreed to pay KIIT University a multi-year grant for the purpose of development of educational infrastructure and completion of other support activities for five years.
It is a recognition to KIIT’s excellence in science and education.

Another MoU
In a related development, KIIT University also entered into agreement with the University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy.
As per the agreement, the two universities would promote and strengthen scientific and academic cooperation by means of exchanging professors, researchers, students and staff. They would also undertake joint research activities and joint research doctoral theses.
