The temple town Bhubaneshwar in Odisha will come alive with activities galore as the host city of what is touted to be the world’s largest Model United National (MUN) 2015 conference from 30th October to 1st November 2015.
It is going to be a gala 3 day event where more than 1800 delegates of about 20 nationalities are expected to take part.
This event would be an excellent platform for intense debates, threadbare discussions, brainstorming sessions offering myriad opportunities for networking and also an opportunity to have fun. The event will have eminent personalities for guest lectures and there would be social event to unwind at the end of the brainstorming day.
The event known as KIIT International MUN 2015 and intense preparation has already begun to make this mega event a grand success.
KIIT secretariat has chosen 14 committees which are divided as School Committees, Beginner’s committees, intermediate committees, advanced committees, roaming committees and the showcase committee and many more to conduct the event smoothly.
KIIT International MUN will be the third edition – in continuation of the two excellent events organised in 2013 and 2014.
1200 delegates from different parts of the globe participated in 2014 MUN conference. This year it is going to be a mega event as it would witness a quantum increase in the number of delegates to 1800.
Youth power has been recognised as a portent weapon and in today’s world it is pertinent for the youth to know the happenings around and also to emerge as a major force to reckon with by their active participation in shaping up world policies.
This convention will rise above the conventional Model United Nations and this event is expected to give an opportunity for student leaders to showcase their leadership qualities and emerge on the national scene as future leaders.

KIIT Model United Nations Society is the youngest society of KIIT University. But it is known as the biggest student society in terms of membership. This body has brought laurels to the University with its members representing the University MUN society in London International MUN, New Silk Way International MUN (Khazaksthan), Model United Nations of the Hague, Singapore Model UN apart from many prestigious MUNs across the Indian subcontinent.
KIIT International Model United Nations is the annual flagship event of the society which hosts regular sessions on Sundays at the Student Activity Center.
