ENARADA, Bengaluru, August 13, 2015

For the first time in the history of  BBMP elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate  has won BBMP election, much before the actual election.

BJP announced today that its candidate Bharati Ramachandra from Hongasandra ward in Bommanahalli assembly constituency has won the election unanimous.   “It is a first victory and the indication of BJP’s victory in BBMP elections,” said BJP leader Ashok.

The congress candidate K.Maheshwari’s nomination papers were rejected due to technical reasons and two independent candidates withdrew from the fray at the last minute. Interestingly JD(S) did not field its candidate.

Is it only the luck or someone has prompted independent candidates to withdraw, is the question doing rounds in political circle.
