enarada Mysore, May 23, 2013:

The Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) urged the New Chief Minister Siddaramiah to complete the Railway track doubling work between Mysore- Bangalore and daily air services to the city.

The office bearers of the MCCI met chief minister recently and submitted various demands drawing  his attention on infrastructure besides connectivity which needs for the further development of the city and the district.

According to President Sudhakar shetty the state government should take interest for timely completion of the track-doubling work between Mysore and Bangalore, which has seen little progress so far. Stakeholders believe that a reduction in running time between the two cities augurs well for the development of Mysore.

Experts have pointed out that the completion of the project could alter the landscape of Mysore and give a boost to the ‘industrial corridor’ between Bangalore and Mysore.

The MCCI argued in favour of daily flight services from and to Mysore, as opposed to the existing single flight that serves the city on alternate days. ENN
