Mysore Industries Association put forth demands for all the political parties

Mysore, April  5,2013:

In view of the ensuing Karnataka Assembly elections, the Mysore Industries Association (MIA) has put forth a list of demands to be included in the manifestos of political parties.

MIA President P. Vishwanath, who presided over the meeting, demanded that the industrial administration be made easier, industrial areas in the district be formed into clusters to avail Central government schemes.

The major demand by MIA is for uninterepted power supply to the industries particularly for the small and medium scale sectors.

The meeting also demanded  initiate action against land mafia and land grabbers, provide reservation for small and micro industries in site allotment, loans and other facilities, bring industries-related issues under Sakaala, conduct Industrial Adalats once in six months and roll back the hike in water tariff for industries.

The MIA urged the state government for the conversion of existing four – lane highway between Mysore and Bangalore into six – lane highway and provide adequate funds for the speedy completion of doubling of Mysore – Bangalore rail track.

Up gradation of Mysore airport work to be expedited since lot of MNCs are interested to invest in Mysore. It should be upgraded to international standard for which the acquisition of additional 400 acres of land should be taken up and necessary funds should be allocated to KIADB. The MIA also enlisted more then 30 demands pertaining to industrial sector problems.

Representatives of various industries from Mysore, Mandya and Chamarajanagar district were present .
