‘Namma Samskruti’ reflects Indian culture in ample measure

The children who participated in the 25 day free camp “Namma Sanskriti” showcased their talent in the valedictory function held today at the Kitturu Rani Chennamma Stadium, Jayanagara,  Bengaluru  this evening.

True to the name ‘namma sanskriti’ abundantly exhibited the innate talents of the students who had honed their talent in the last 25 days in the free camp conducted by BBMP member Kreedashri N Nagaraja.

Though the programme started a little late neither the gusty winds   nor the heavy downpour just preceding the function could dampen the spirits of the students who exhibited their talents in dance, drama,  music and other traditional  and forms of  activities in a colourful stage specially prepared for the valedictory programme. Children also demonstrated their talents in martial arts, drawing, painting, film and traditional dance, art, craft, calligraphy and theatre.  For four odd hours the children entertained the assembled guests with their enlivening performance.

Transport Minister R Ramalinga Reddy who inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp lauded the efforts of Corporator N Nagaraju in organising this free camp.  “This free camp while helping to improve the talents of children has also proved to be of great help to the parents as they could channelize their energies in a proper way.   Camps of this nature help the children recognise their own talent.  It is heartening to know Nagarj has been conducting these camps for the last five years”, he stated.

B N Vijaykumar, MLA who was also one of the guests at the valedictory function pointed out it is not enough if parents send their children to these camps.  “Once you recognise the talents of your children you should encourage them to improve their talent.  There should be a perfect balance in academics, sports and games and extracurricular activities and this combination would go a long way in improving the personality of the children”, Vijayakumar declared.

Nagaraj thanked the minister Ramalinga Reddy for taking time off his busy schedule and coming all the way from Hassan for the programme.     The programme began with a prayer song by Darshan Gowda.  Former MLA Manjunath Reddy, popular theatre actor Yashwant Sardeshpande and social activist Anant Shetty were on the dais.

Nagaraj also felicitated all the resources persons who trained the children in the free camp.

The valedictory function was attended by a large number of people who thoroughly enjoyed the diverse talents of young children in the age group of 5 to 20.     The children who participated in today’s programme were trained in all these activities aimed at improving their overall personality during the 25 day free camp.

The entire evening reflected Indian culture in ample measure.   That the audience stayed through the entire performance demonstrated the programme was worth a dekho.

“Namma  Samskruti camp”  Valedictory Function on May 2

The valedictory function of  “Namma Samskruti” –  the 25-day  free cultural camp for children and youngsters from 5 to 20 years  conducted  between 6th to 30th April 2015  will be held on May 2, 2015 at Kitturu Rani Chennamma Stadium in Bengaluru.   The valedictory function will be a grand affair as the students who participated in this camp will be able to showcase their  skills and talent with a colourful and enlivening stage performance.    The young talented lot who enhanced their various skills during this 25 day free camp are sure to mesmerise the audience with their creativity and out of the box thinking in dealing with ideas and situations.

“Namma Sanskriti” – the free cultural camp 2015 was organised under the aegis of Kitturu Rani Chennamma Sports and Cultural Academy, Bengaluru from April 6, 2015 to 30th April 2015.

The camp was the brainchild of  Byrasandra Corporator N Nagaraju who conducted it under the guidance of Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers,  Ananthkumar and  Jayanagar MLA   B N Vijayakumar.  The camp was organised with the major objective of scouting for new talent training the talented children and youth to sharpen their skills.   It was taught that apart from academics the children should be  exposed to other creative skills.  Children between the age group of 5 to 10 had half day classes from 9.30 am to 12.30pm and those between 10 to 20 years had full day training from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm.

The camp participants were trained in all streams of human activity that aimed at the overall personality development of children.   Malla Kamba, Haggada Malla Kamba, Beesu Kamsale, yoga, theatre, music,  all forms of dance and dance music, aerobics,  drawing, painting, art & craft, calligraphy were some of the  subjects and fields taught to these  participants in the camp. All these activities are aimed at stimulating the body and the mind of the children and the youth paving the way for the creative stimulation and intellectual growth.    The distinct feature of this camp is that children learnt all these activities in a fun-filled atmosphere and thoroughly enjoyed learning them under the guidance of experts in the field.

The parents, relatives and friends of children participating in the camp and others interested are requested to attend the valedictory function in large numbers and encourage the youngsters by lauding their talents.
