Prisoner who started firing in NIMHANS hospital neutralised

Commandos neutralised prisoner Vishwanath who started firing by snatching rifles belonged to guards in NIMHANS hospital today.  No casualty was reported though  22 year old Vishwanath fired totally 23 rounds.

Giving details to media about the incident, Police commissioner N.S. Megharik said  “Prisoner Vishwanath entered the guard room and took loaded  5 rifles. He started firing in the air and security staff locked the room from outside to prevent his movement. Garuda wing of ISD opened the lock, entered the room, neutralised him and taken to casualty ward for further treatment.”

Police indicated that commandos might have shot Vishwanth at chest.
