By his sheer enthusiasm in covering maximum loksabha constituencies in two days, is Rahul Gandhi sending signals to his party men that Congress need to win maximum seats from Karnataka? With adverse situation for Congress in other southern states, is it banking on Karnataka to win maximum number out of the 28 Lok Sabha seats?
After successfully completing Public rallies, interaction with students, discussion with editors, obliging party workers by shaking hands with them and taking out longest road show, he returned to Delhi this evening by a special aircraft from Mysore’s Mandakali airport.
The road show which began from Tumkur this afternoon ended at Mysore late in the evening. His road show passed through Nagavalli, Hebbur, Kunigal Circle, Huliyurdurga, Santhemavathur and proceeded towards Maddur in Mandya district and reached Mysore where he held road shows in eight places.
During the road show when he stopped at many villages to greet large gatherings, Congress party workers garlanded him by cheering “Rahul Namma Mundina Pradhani” (Rahul our future Prime Minister).
In Maddur former chief minister S M Krishna received the Rahul Gandhi. Later similar kind of reception was accorded to him by chief minister himself at the Mysore entrance. CM Siddaramaiah, KPCC president Dr.G.Parameshwara, several ministers, few MP’s, MlA’s and Congress party office bearers accompanied him in all his programs.
Motorists using Bangalore –Mysore highway had to face hardship as traffic was diverted via Malavalli and kanakapura route.
