‘Sampadakara Sampadaka’ – Book on legendary journalist E. Raghavan, released

ENARADA, Bangalore, June 15, 2014

Those who honestly work for the welfare of the society, will live forever in the hearts of people. In a rare tribute to senior journalist E.Raghavan who died two years ago, several journalists who worked under his able guidance came up with a novel idea.

They have compiled a book titled ‘Sampadakara Sampadaka’ (Editor’s Editor) in his memory and the same was released today.

“He was thinking about well being of others without expecting anything from them” said K.Sathya Narayana, Senior journalist, Columnist and Retired editor of Kannada Prabha.

Sathyanarayana has written a forward note in the book and mentioned that E.Raghavan had made a name for himself through his popular weekly column ‘Point of View’ in Indian Express and a special report done by him about Samajavadi Janatha Party’s conference under the leadership of Chandrashekar held at Sarnath in Bihar.

“Raghavan  maintained utmost integrity and through his professionalism he influenced every journalist who came in contact with him to excel in their job” said Sathyanarayana.

Journalists M.B.Maramkal, Prashanth Hulkodu, D.Umapathy, Vidyarashmi Pelathadka, M.Ravikumar, Vasanth Nadiger, H.C. Natesh Babu, Kudli gururaja, K.Venkatesha, Srivatsa Nadig, P.K.Channakrishna, Veerabhadrappa Bislalli, K.Kariswami, B.S. Jayaprakash Narayana, B.k.Ganesh and Ashok Ram D.R. have written their experiences of working with E.Raghavan in the Book.

E. Raghavan has worked with Indian Express Group, Times Group (Economics Times, Vijaya Next, Bodhi vriksha, Vijay Karnataka)  and wrote column in few other English newspapers.
