He visited  Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) on a nostalgic visit and interact with his old teachers and friends .the UP  Chief  minister was honoured on the occasion before leaving for Bangalore to catch a chartered flight to Lucknow.

Earlier  Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has regretted not learning Kannada language during his college days in Mysore where he studied BE in Environmental Engineering at Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) in 1990s.

During a party function at Channapatna for where former forest minister in BJP cabinet C.P. Yogeshwar won on Samajwadi Party (SP) ticket opening SP’s account in Karnataka assembly after a long back, Mr. Yadav felt if he had learnt Kannada it would have been much easy for him to catch the pulse of electorate and built strong party base. “I have done a mistake and regret it now. The victory of SP candidate from Channapatna assembly constituency is like a rebirth for the party in the State and the SP’s future look bright”.

Making his intentions clear, India’s youngest CM said the formation of Third Front is evitable and the SP will be playing a crucial role. There is anti-Congress and anti-BJP resentment across the country for the reasons best known. So, it’s right time for all like-minded regional parties to join hands and form Third Front.

Referring to inter-state water disputes involving Karnataka, Mr. Yadav said both Congress and BJP have failed to introduce an ‘acceptable’ water policy which is why the problem of water sharing during drought seasons flare-up. “If the Third Front come to power in 2014 Lok Sabha polls there is a likelihood of SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav becoming Prime Minister and we will introduce water policy”.
