Two Karnataka BJP Ministers quit , set to join Congress

BJP ministers Narasimha Naik (Rajugouda) and CP Yogeeshwar resigned today to join Congress
Bangalore, February 21: Forest Minister C P Yogeeshwara and SSI Minister Rajugouda alias Narasimha Nayak resigned, in a further set-back to the Jagadish Shettar government in poll-bound Karnataka.
They tendered their resignations to the Chief Minister, and also paid a courtesy call on the Governor H R Bhardwaj, who later accepted their resignations forwarded to him by Shettar.
The two said they would resign from the primary membership of the party, and also submit their resignation from Assembly membership to the Speaker K G Bopaiah.
According to sources, Yogeeshwara and Rajugouda are set to join the Congress shortly.
Elections to urban local bodies (excluding Bangalore) are slated to be held in Karnataka on March seven, and the Assembly polls, expected in May.
Several BJP MLAs, including some Ministers, have knocked the door of the Congress, which is in the process of taking a call on their entry into the party.
