Two separate accidents claim lives of two promising youngsters

Mangalore, June 10, 2013:

Along with heavy rains lashing the city it seems to be raining accidents in Mangalore which has claimed the lives of two youngsters yesterday, June 9, 2012.

In a freak in the wee hours of Sunday claimed the life of Ithihas Shetty (20), a promising state level athlete and a second year Engineering student of St Josephs Engineering College.

Ithihas who is also a state level T T player was driving the car which lost control near Bal Bhavan on Kadri Park road as the road was flooded with heavy rains.   His car hit the pillar of the compound wall killing him on the spot.  Four others who were travelling with him had sustained minor injuries.

Ithihas was returning from Eden Club where he was practicing TT along with other players till late night.

Just as the news of his death was yet to sink in, another youngster Swarun Raj (29), CEO of PVS Group, who is also the adopted son of Madhusudan Kushe who passed away a fortnight ago, died in an accident involving his bike and Indica car near Bejai circle, late in the evening.

Swarun Raj was a marine engineer by profession and was engaged recently.   Swarun was a trained musician with proficiency in tabla, violin, guitar, drums and piano.  He was also a black belt in Karate.   Just recently he has participated in a dance competition held in Mangalore Town Hall.

Both these accidents have been registered under Kadri Police station.
