BANGALORE, February 5: “We have come to Aero India with a robust U.S. Government delegation for bilateral meetings with our Indian counterparts,” U.S. Ambassador to India Nancy Powell said at a reception hosted by the United States India Business Council and American Chamber of Commerce on February 05, 2013.
Over 300 delegates representing American businesses, Aero India delegations/exhibitors, and representatives of the Government of India participated in the reception.
“We are looking to accelerate the rise of the U.S.-India relationship. Your presence at Aero India 2013, and the cooperation and relationships that will flow from your participation here keeps us firmly on the path to achieving our mutual goals,” the Ambassador added
Boeing Commercial Airplanes Senior Vice President Sales Asia-Pacific & India Dinesh Keskar delivered the opening remarks; Textron System Senior Vice President and USIBC Co-Mission Leader Vice Admiral Kevin Cosgriff introduced the Ambassador; and Boeing Military Aircraft and USIBC Co-Mission Leader Lt. General Jeff Kohler gave concluding remarks.
I met Ambassador Powell several years ago when she was the Ambassador to Pakistan. I live close to her home town in the USA. I was so impressed with heart for her position and how very informed she is on matters. She is a very intelligent, bright individual! She represents the US extremely well and greatly concerned with the country she is Ambassador in. I was honored to meet her.
