Wounded deer shifted to Mysore Zoo for treatment

ENARADA, Mysore, February 19, 2014:

Mysore today witnessed another incident of forest animal entering city. Forest department officials found a wounded deer, which was sighted at Roopanagar  on the outskirts of the city  and sent it to the Mysore  Zoo for treatment.

According to forest officials,   general public who noticed the stray deer informed the Sarawathipuram Police who intern communicated to them. Officials took the deer to People for Animals (PFA) organisation where it was treated with first aid as deer bore injuries on its body due to street dogs bite.

The forest officials will decide on whether to release it back into the forest or keep it at the Zoo along with other deer herd.
