Actress turned MP, Ramya Launches Dasara Yuva Sambhrama by beating the drums

ENARADA, Mysore, September 28,2013:

Dasara Yuva Sambhrama 2013— a series of cultural programmes for the youth as part of Dasara celebration — was symbolically launched by  sandalwood actress and MP from Mandya Ramya at the Open Air Theatre in Manasagangothri  by beating the drums (nagari).

Students of various colleges of the city will be performing on-stage till October 3 daily in the evenings. The first day of the Dasara Yuva Sambhrama witnessed thousands of youngsters, most of them college students, gathered at the venue and cheering the performers.

18 fine art troupes selected at the Yuva Sambhrama will be allowed to participate in the Yuva Dasara to be held at the Maharaja College ground, during which five troupes per day will be allowed to display their talents on-stage.

More than  1000 students  from 150 colleges are participating in the  six days of event  including  200 foreign students studying here .

District incharge minister V. Srinivasa Prasad, MLA Vasu, City Mayor Smt Rajeshwari , Deputy  commissioner Shikha and others were present.
