India is all set for the Vivek Band campaign to spread the message “Be Good-Do Good” on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary. The programme involves a mega youth campaign to promote social volunteering among youth.
The campaign kick-starts on January 12, 2017 for a fortnight and begins with wearing of a Vivek wrist band carrying the message-“Be Good-Do Good”. The campaign entails; wearing Vivek bands with the message “Be Good-Do Good” on January 12 involving service oriented-do good activity between Jan 12-26. This will be followed by organising an inspirational talk to spread the spirit of service and nationalism, sharing “Be Good-Do Good” experience on social media with #Vivekband and in other platforms to inspire others giving a missed call to 8792662262.
This year, Samartha Bharata is supporting corneal ”Andhatva mukta bharata abhiyana’ along with Sakshama, an NGO for the specially-challenged. As part of this programme, eye donation will be promoted as “Do Good” activity for 2017.
