Hindus should boycott Halal meat as it involves the Islamic method of slaughtering and buy the Jhatka meat from Hindu shops instead, opined Hindu Rashtra Samanvaya Samiti (HRSS).

Many Hindu leaders from different organisations addressed a joint press meet under the HRSS banner. They expressed concerns over spreading Halal mafia into other segments like Halal buildings and Halal transports besides Halal meat.
HRSS demanded a total ban on Halal certificates saying the Halal mafia creates a parallel economy to promote Islamic religion and poses a big threat to Hindu society and the nation.
Sharath Kumar, coordinator, Hindu Jaajagruti Samiti (HSS) questioned the need for Halal certificates when there is the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), a statutory body responsible for food safety in India.
“We are trying to create awareness among Hindu society against the Halal mafia which is now entered into many segments. It is a practice that Hindus consume meat after the Ugadi festival and we urge the Hindu society to buy the Jhatka meat (slaughtering an animal by a single stroke) from Hindu shops. A large number of Hindus offer meat to Goddess during festivals and local fairs before consuming it and offering Halal meat to Hindu Gods and Goddess is an anti-Hindu practice,” said Sharath.
Puneet Kerehalli, President of Rashtra Rakshana Pade, pointed out that Halal meat is prepared by reciting Bismillah by a Muslim man before killing an animal by cutting its veins, arteries, and windpipe causing extreme pain to the animal before dying slowly.
“The slow death is barbaric in nature and there will be chemical reactions involved in Halal meat. Hindus should understand these facts and buy only Jhatka meat. It is ironic and unfair that Animal rights organisations will not allow killing a rabbit, deer, pig etc., for meat but never stops the Muslim community from killing cows for meat. The Halal mafia is not restricted to meat alone, there are Halal buildings and Halal transports too,” Puneet Kerehalli said.
