Former Chief Minister and KJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa today predicated that an influx of political party leaders into his party on March 30.
Speaking to media persons after undertaking hectic campaigning on the outskirts of the city surrounding in a padayatra of these areas seeking support for KJP candidates H.V. Rajeev contesting from Krishna raja constituency.
He continued his padayara in favour of his close associate K.P. Siddalingawamy,in the Varuna constituency which is the home constituency of Siddaramaiah. leader of the opposition Siddaramiah is one of the top contender for the chief minister if congress comes to power in the state.
After performing puja at temple near the KJP office, the former Chief Minister waved at passing crowds and distributed handbills in the area before leaving for Chamarajanagar.
He also said that he had called a meeting of 69 candidates who have already been selected in Bangalore and added that the second list of party candidates for the coming polls would be announced before Apr. 3.
He also declared that his party would contest in all the 224 constituencies and expressed confidence that his party would win a comfortable majority.
Replying to a query about whether his party could make inroads in the Krishna raja Assembly constituency, which is said to be a stronghold of District Minister S.A. Ramdas, he quipped, “No constituency is one’s stronghold and both Rajeev and Siddalingawamy would win their seats with comfortable margins.”
