In the next 20 years, the world will change as it had changed in the last 1000 years, due to technological innovations, according to Amitabh Ray, Managing Director of Ericson Global Services, India. He was delivering 16th Foundation day lecture organised by KIIT University today at Bhubaneswar.
The youngest institue of the country to get Univeristy status in six years, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) celebrated its foundation day today. On this occassion, KIIT organised 16th Foundation day lecture and conferred Honoris Causa degree to Amitabh Ray.

“The corporate decision making also involves dealing with paradoxes – paradoxes between short-term profits and long term goals, between growth and environment and so on. Students should be prepared to go through the cycles of learning, unlearning and re-learning”, said Amitabh Ray.
While participating in pooja ceremony as part of foundation day celebrations, Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT & KISS and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) said “It is indeed incredible to state that in a time span of 15 years (16th Feb 2004 to 16th Feb 2019), KIIT has achieved incredible feats in ranking amongst the topmost colleges in this country and globe. I would give all the credit to almighty and thank my stakeholders again for what we have managed to achieve.”
The founder, staff & stake holders of KIIT & KISS group of Institutions participated in the celebrations.
KIIT started its journey in the year 1997 with just 3 programmes- Engineering, MBA & MCA. It was KIIT’s commitment to excellence that led to the grant of Deemed to be University status under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India on February 16, 2004.
