Inaugurating the camp, Vijayakumar said this camp helped children mould their overall personality. “When we were kids, we used to spend a lot of time outside homes. However, today, the kids are spending their time in front of gizmos which is not only harming their eyes but also cutting down their creativity. Hence, the camp has been designed in such a way that our students are exposed to our old traditions as well as modern games. I am sure the three-week camp will help kids to become better individuals.”
Byrasandra ward corporator and the promoter of the camp, N Nagaraju said, “I am really glad that children are enjoying the camp to the fullest. We have also arranged experts in various fields to train the children at these camps.”
The camp included innovative games like Malla Kamba, Haggada Mallakamba, Beesu Kamsale, Yoga, Drama, Jambe, Music, Karate, Dance, Painting, arts and crafts and aerobics etc. The camp is being organised by Kittur Rani Channamma Sports and Cultural Academy.
The inaugural programme saw hundreds of students and parents; MLA Vijay Kumar symbolically releasing a pigeon while Byrasandra corporator N Nagaraju releasing balloons.
