CM Designate Siddaramaiah offers special pooja to Goddess Chamundeshwari

Chief Minister-designate Siddaramaiah today  offered special pooja to Goddess Chamundeswari, atop of chamundhi hills in the city.

Mr. Siddaramiah, who is taking oath as Chief Minister of the state  at Bangalore’s  Sri Kanteerava stadium tomorrow, paid his first visit to his home district after elected as CLP leader of the congress party.

Speaking to media persons he said that after  tommorrow’s swearing-in ceremony,  he would meet the party high command Smt Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi in Delhi.

On the cabinet, he said himself and KPCC President DR.G. Parameshwara   will go to Delhi and discuss the issue  with the party high command and same would be done very soon.

There was a scheduled visit to his native village of siddaramanahundi today, however, plan changed at the last minute and he left for Bangalore.

Meanwhile Mr. Siddaramiah   received a grand welcome  at the toll gate of Mysore last night by the   congress party workers along with other party leaders besides a large crowd who gathered  to have a glimpse of their leader.

Earlier Siddaramaiah received the same kind of reception at Ramanagara, Channapatna, Maddur and Mandya where the crowd congratulated him and distributed sweets. Tight security has been arranged all through the roads.
