Three enterprising film journalists in Bengaluru begin a new venture to provide unbiased reviews of all Kannada movies.
Sharanu Hullur from Vijaya Karnataka and S Shyam Prasad from Bangalore Mirror quit their jobs and set up their dreams project SSS Movies Reviews along with SM Shashi Prasad who worked with Deccan Chronicle.
Speaking to eNarada, Shyam Prasad said the Kannada film industry is evolving and there is a demand for unbiased reviews, “There are 8 to 10 Kannada movies getting released every week and it is impossible for any newspaper to cover all of them. Hence we came up with the idea of watching all the movies and provide clear cut reviews for each and every film. People tend to watch movies in theatres based on genuine reviews.”
The trio is passionate about it and besides reviews of every new Kannada film, they are planning to update with film-related news on their website on a daily basis.
