ENARADA, Mysore, September 29, 2013:
By performing traditional puja to Golden throne at Amba Vilas (Durbar Hall) in Mysore Palace today, the district administration has started arrangements to keep the Golden throne for public view.
The golden throne, one of the major attractions of the Dasara festivities will be kept for public view for one month from October 2.
The rituals, as part of the ensuing Dasara festivities, was performed by the Palace priest Janardhana.
Deputy Commissioner Shikha, who is also chairman of palace board, Police Commissioner Dr. M.A. Saleem, Palace Board Secretary M. Lakshminarayan, Palace Board Deputy Director T.S. Subramanya and others were present.
The golden throne will be first used by the scion of Mysore royal family srikantadatta narasimaraja wadiyar when the dasara festivities began from October 5. Even Mr Wadiyar will conduct the private durbar during the nine days.
