Launch of Maya Animation Studio in Bangalore

India’s only animation studio to have operations across 3D, 2D Animation, VFX & 2D to 3D conversion, Maya Digital Studios in association with Purpleframe Studios entered the South Indian Market with the launch of its first in house studio in Bangalore yesterday. Based in Electronic city -Hosur Road, the Studio was launched along with MIST  (Maya in Studio Training)  facility, which provides an advanced training based on Studio Ready Training Modules with employment at Maya’s studio for the budding professionals into this vibrant industry.

From creating the cultural and infrastructural base for the industry way back in the 1990s to working on Indian cinema’s legendary Sholay’s 3D conversion today, Maya has constantly offered something new, something valuable for the growth of this industry. For over 17 years, the company stands for continuous innovation & cutting edge technology.

With the objective of developing dedicated boutique studio models across the country Maya Digital Studios is entering the South Indian market with its first studio in Bangalore. Spread over 5000 sq ft Maya Digital Studio will be offering 3D Animation, Modeling & Rigging services from the Bangalore Studio. In training Studio MIST can accommodate 100 Artist Interns at any given point of time.

“Bangalore is an established animation hub and is known for its pre-production, modeling and animation workforce for a smoother workflow. This benefits us for the operations at the studio as well as the young workforce, who will join us through MIST and will be the future of this industry. The State Government welcomes Media, Entertainment, Animation & VFX setups”, said Mr. Ketan Mehta, Managing Director of Maya Digital Studios.  “With existence in Mumbai, Goa and now Bangalore, we are planning to launch 2 more studios in the next 6 months in Pune and Kochi. Our intention is to create a strong and highly trained system that will drive the future of this industry”, he further added.

Maya is growing very fast and there are multiple projects like Motu Patlu, Captain Vyom amongst other. In order to cater to these project requirements, Maya Digital Studio is looking at developing dedicated boutique studio models across the country, which will be a key support function for their own business operations at the Mumbai headquarters. “The strategy is to simultaneously achieve organic as well as inorganic growth”, shared Mr. Ketan Mehta.

Commenting on the launch Mr. Yogesh Shanbhag – CEO, Purpleframe Studios, said, With the Animation industry’s projected CAGR of 21% there is a need to rapidly scale production and hire new talent.   16. Sir, i am a 3d artist nearly having 8years experience. Presently i am working in Banglore at MOUSEART, as 3d modeler. My current CTC is 30000-/Rs per month. I would like to relocate form here.
