Bangalore, February 23: With another ruling BJP MLA from Karnataka, H S Shankaralinge Gowda representing Chamaraja Assembly constituency tendering his resignation today , BJP Government is in big trouble.
According to the reliable sources , if the trend of BJP Ministers/MLA’s resignation continues, BJP is considering taking a decision of dissolving the Government in the next Cabinet meeting and meet the Governor Hansraj Bhardwaj to request him to dissolve the Government. It is a strategy of the BJP to remain in power as a care taker Government till the general election due in May 2013.
It can be recalled that two BJP ministers Yogeeshwar and Raju Gouda had resigned few days ago to join Congress. Today Shankaralinge Gowda has resigned with a intention to join JD (S).
At present the strength of BJP in the 225-member House is 104 while Congress has 71 members and JDS has 25 MLA’s. There are 7 independent MLA’s , nominated one, speaker one and 16 vacancies.
