Mangalore, March 1, 2013:

For KJP former chief Minister B S Yeddyurapp’s development work during his tenure at the helm is in itself like a manifesto and hence there is no need to prepare any manifesto for the ensuring civic elections in Mangalore.

In its first press conference held after the inauguration of KJP office in Mangalore district spokesperson of KJP Hameed Kandak said due to paucity of time the party could manage to field candidates only in 14 wards of the city corporation in Mangalore.

Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa has said that he will not prepare any manifesto for the KJP party for the elections, rather the development work done at the time of his tenure as CM would be sufficient for voters. He said KJP has chosen the ‘coconut’ as its party symbol because it is daily used commodity and has religious significance also.

Party President Ravindra Shetty released the list of 14 candidates contesting the civic polls for the City Corporation elections in Mangalore.

KJP leaders like district President Ravindra Shetty,  Dr Lawrence D Souza, Shivappa Pachnady, K Bhaskar Poojary and Gurucharan Hegde were present  at the press conference.
