ENARADA, Bangalore, October 29, 2013:

Putting an end to all speculations about him returning to BJP, Karnataka Janatha Party (KJP) president and former Chief Minister B.S.Yeddyurappa, clarified today that he will not join BJP. However he said he will support NDA at the centre.

He requested BJP leaders to stop confusing everyone about him joining BJP and sent a message to  KJP party workers not to be carried away with the BJP’s cheap strategy.

“Even if Modi personally invites me to come back to BJP, I will not make the mistake of merging my party with BJP” Yeddyurappa asserted.

As his party has secured 10% votes in the last elections and Election commission has recognised his party, he said KJP will remain a major regional political party and support NDA for the sake of ‘Modi’,

He further said that he is ready for ‘Seat-Sharing’ with NDA for the Lok Saba elections and likely to field 8 to 10 KJP candidates in Chamarajnagar, Haveri, Mysore, Shimoga, Tumkur, Hubli-Dharwad, Bidar and Gulbarga constituencies.

Not going to London
Even though CBI special court has permitted yeddyurappa to travel abroad, he said he is not going to inaugurate ‘Basavanna Statue’ in London, as scheduled. He announced that he is not celebrating Deepavali too, as he has decided to work harder for the benefit of neglected and poor people of Karnataka.

No reply from L.K.Advani
B.S.Yeddyurappa said that he had not received any reply for his letter to NDA chairperson L.K.Advani regarding KJP intends to become an ally of NDA.

“So far I have not received any communication from NDA regarding my request but I am hopeful that NDA will positively respond to my letter” Yeddyyurappa added.

Demand for extension of ‘Shaadi Bhagya’
While welcoming Congress Government’s latest flagship program ‘Shaadi Bhagya’ (Providing INR 50,000/- to Muslim poor bride), B.S.yeddyurappa urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to extend the same benefit to all the poor bridegrooms irrespective of Caste/ communities.

Yeddyurappa came down heavily on the congress Government for stalling welfare schemes meant for APL cardholders at the fair price shops.

“In view of putting pressure on the Government and office.create awareness among general public on these two issues (Shaadi Bhagya and subsidized ration for APL card holders), kJP will have a massive demonstration in front of Mahatma Gandhi office.

Scan other CM’s too
Upset with CM’s recent statement about Padmaraja Committee report regarding allotment of sites under ‘G’ Category, Yeddyurappa said he is ready to get probed as he has followed all the procedures before allotting the sites under his quota, while he was holding the CM post.

“I fail to understand why CM is insisting taking legal action against only 3 previous CM’s?”  Yeddyurappa wanted to know.

Supporting his claim, yeddyyurappa said that he has allotted 130 sites while former CM S.M.Krishna allotted 320 sites. “As a fair game, if government wants to initiate any probe, include other former CM’s” Yeddyurappa urged the Government.

Former CM J.H Patel had allotted 131 Sites, Dharam Singh had allotted 79 sites, H.D.Kumaraswamy had given away 262 sites under ‘G’ Category during their respective stint as CM’s, yeddyurappa revealed.
