Bangalore, February 3,2013 ; BMTC is increasing the rates due to increase in price of HSD from 18-01-2013 by Govt.of India, items like Tyre, Tube, Lubricants, Assembly, steel and Spare Parts rates and due to expected release of January 2013 DA installment to the employees has resulted in severe financial burden on the Corporation, according to the communiqué from BMTC Head office.
BMTC in order to make good a part of this huge additional expenditure is effecting a moderate hike in the Vajra / Carona, Vayuvajra and A.C.Suvarna Passenger Bus fares & Gold & Ac Suvarna Day pass fare w.e.f. midnight of 02/03-02-2013.
The first two stage fare of Vajra/ Carona is remained unaltered & from third stage onwards Rs 5/- has been increased. But in Ac Suvarna, first stage fare is unaltered, afterwards there is marginal increase in fare. The fare chart is enclosed.
