As per suggestions from BJP top leaders, Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa returned this evening to Bengaluru to streamline flood relief works.
BSY canceled all his schedules including meeting President of India, Sri Ram Nath Kovind in Delhi and rushed back to Bengaluru and went to Belgaum to personally supervise relief works in North Karnataka. He will be staying in north Karnataka for the next two days.
It can be recalled that BSY was in Delhi to finalise cabinet expansion but BJP top leaders suggested him to attend the grievances of people affected by the severe flood.
BSY is again going to Delhi on August 10 to discuss cabinet expansion with the high command. “Our leaders including Home minister Amit Shah asked me to work on the flood-affected issue urgently and cabinet expansion can wait. I am going back to Delhi after supervising major flood disaster in North Karnataka,” B.S.Yediyurappa said.
