Senior congress leader and Member of Parliament leader A H Vishwanath today urged the Election Commission of India to declare four assembly segments in Mysore district, the second biggest assembly segments in the state, as hyper sensitive since both BJP and JD-S candidates are involved in the real estate business and undisclosed money has been flowing into the constituencies
Speaking to newsmen here he alleged that the nearly Rs 60 crores money was expected to spend in hyper sensitive constituencies , K R Nagara, Chamundeswari, Varuna in rural areas s of the district and Krishnaraja constituency in urban part for which he had information in this behalf.
In this regard he had written letter to chief election commission of India today to take serious steps to conduct free and fair elections in four assembly segments besides there was report to the election commission of india in violation of election code in these constituencies by the then Deputy commissioner during the last assembly elections , he pointed out.
He said he will be meeting chief election commissioner of India in Bangalore on April 8 .
He alleged that after the declare of the election dates by the election commission there was a clear election code violation by the sitting MLA of K R Nagara assembly SA RA Mahesh by announcing through media that five years rice free for the BPL card holders in his constituency. It was also noticed that in the name MLA friends association illegal election activities taking place through ambulance vans.
With regard to krishnaraja assembly segments in city, Minister S A Ramadas has been distributing gifts to the voters through non governmental organizations of his own. This was brought to the notice of the district administration, however, no action was taken to stop this violation of modal code of the elections, he added.
Mr. Vishwanath also strongly allegedly that there is information that both BJP AND JD-S parties have been collecting the numbers of Aadhar and bank account of the voters , which was opened for the direct cash transfer by the union government for subsidies of LPG and other benefits , to direct cash transfer to the voters in this mode, This must be stopped right now, he said.
He requested the election commission to appoint central observes to this hyper sensitive assembly for scanning of the entire event and every complaints in all the constituencies.
Urging the election commission the MP said that the commission should restrain from releasing the documentary made on the long running Cauvery river dispute of the former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) president H.D. Deve Gowda.
Event though the Cauvery river dispute was an election issue, however, this was not the time to shoot the documentary. This documentary may give wrong singles to the voters, he added.
He was great respect to the former prime minister and his concern,. But, the taking documentary time was not good when the election to the assembly declared and even he was not opposed the documentary as whole.
