When Prime minister Narendra Modi imposed 21 days total lockdown in India to prevent Coronavirus spread, everybody irrespective of rich and poor supported him. Business establishments closed their offices and asked their employees to work from home. The Government employees get paid leaves and all sections of people started staying back at home.
It is not a burden for the rich and middle class but daily wage workers and the poorest of poor people are finding it difficult to stay indoors without cash or food items with them to survive for 21 long days.
Realising this serious issue, Bengaluru based senior Journalist cum Artist Rasheed Kappan started a campaign #CareToons to help the weaker section of society.
He will draw a caricature of people without taking any fees. He requests those who get their caricature done, to donate the amount to the needy instead. The donors can send their picture to him through WhatsApp and he will draw their caricature and send it back to them.
His brainchild idea received a good response and many donors have come forward to support his cause.
